Claudine Barretto commemorates Rico Yan’s legacy on 22nd anniversary of his passing

Actress Claudine Barretto took to her Instagram account to remember and honor her ex-boyfriend Rico Yan, marking 22 years since his passing.

Barretto shared a poignant reel from the Instagram handle @rycb.memories, captioned “Claudine’s one and only forever.” Reposting with her own message, Barretto wrote, “March 29 My heart stopped 💔💔💔 #alwaysandforever.”

In the reel, Barretto is seen expressing to Karen Davila the significant impact Yan had on her life. She reminisced, “He is a big part of my life,” highlighting the enduring influence he had on her. The clip also featured a collection of photos and videos capturing moments shared by the two during their youth.

Yan and Barretto were celebrated as one of the most beloved love teams in the late ’90s and 2000s, starring together in popular series such as “Mula Sa Puso” and “Saan Ka Man Naroroon,” as well as blockbuster films like “Got 2 Believe.”

Yan tragically passed away in his sleep on March 29, 2002, succumbing to hemorrhagic pancreatitis while vacationing in Palawan.
