Zeinab Harake calls out fake fan pages stealing her content on Facebook

Filipino-Lebanese content creator Zeinab Harake is speaking out against unauthorized Facebook pages that she says are reuploading clips from her YouTube vlogs without credit — and blocking her page to prevent her from reporting them.

In a post that has since drawn over 90,000 reactions, Harake expressed frustration over what she described as a pattern of content theft that directly affects her livelihood. “Nakakafrustrate yung mga Facebook page na kunwari fan page pero nag-uupload ng sliced clips ng videos, tapos hindi man lang pinopromote yung original link ng vlog sa YouTube,” she wrote, adding that some of these pages have gone as far as blocking her account to avoid being reported.

The 26-year-old creator said the practice was not just unfair but financially damaging. The infringing pages, she noted, were accumulating high view counts from content they did not produce, while her own YouTube channel absorbed the impact. “Ang laki ng ginagastos at effort namin para makapag-produce ng content, tapos kukunin nyo lang,” she said.

In a follow-up comment on her own post, Harake appealed directly to her supporters, urging them to watch her content only through her official accounts and to report the pages reposting her videos — pages she said she herself can no longer act on because they have blocked her.

The issue reflects a widespread problem facing content creators in the Philippines, where sliced and reuploaded video clips on Facebook have long been a grey area for platform enforcement. For creators like Harake, whose production involves a full team and significant resources, the monetization of stolen content by third-party pages represents a direct threat to their income.

Harake, who married basketball player Bobby Ray Parks Jr. in June 2025, has built one of the Philippines’ largest YouTube followings with over 15 million subscribers and more than 1.18 billion total views.

She was also among the prominent Filipino personalities who flew to Dubai earlier this year for The Global Filipino Icon Awards 2026, a highly attended gathering that brought together some of the most influential names in the Filipino community, including broadcast journalist Atom Araullo, Glenda Dela Cruz, actor Piolo Pascual, and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, among others.
