A decade-old warrant caught up with a 41-year-old overseas Filipino worker the moment she stepped off her flight from Dubai, as immigration officers flagged her name during routine screening at Manila’s main international gateway.
The single Filipina was taken into custody on September 1, 2026, inside the International Arrival Area of NAIA Terminal 3. Bureau of Immigration personnel first identified the warrant during arrival verification, prompting a coordinated police response that led to her apprehension.
Records traced the case to the Regional Trial Court in San Fernando City, La Union, which issued the warrant on November 20, 2014. The woman faces two counts of qualified theft, with recommended bail set at a combined P98,000.
Officers who made the arrest advised her of the charges and read her constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine in a language she understood. To document the process, the operating team relied on an Alternative Recording Device throughout, a measure meant to safeguard transparency and accountability during the arrest.
The operation drew together several units, including the PNP Aviation Security Group, the Bureau of Immigration, and the San Fernando City Police Station under the La Union Police Provincial Office.

The San Fernando City Police Station in La Union now holds the accused, where she awaits documentation and the next steps in her legal proceedings.
