A local resort owner expressed deep dismay after CCTV footage captured unruly guests throwing tables, chairs, and trash into their swimming pool at Jeremias Resort in Bucal town on 14 August.
The shocking video showed the guests hurling plastic furniture and even a whole water dispenser into the pool. Following the incident, the group attempted to get a refund on their P1,000 security deposit.
Jeremias Resort management stated that some of the guests, accompanied by their parents, have already settled the damages. “We decided not to push through with litigation. We hope this serves as a lesson for everyone involved,” a representative of the resort said in an official statement.
It remains unclear why the guests engaged in such reckless behavior, but the incident serves as a reminder of the importance of respecting shared spaces and the properties of others.
