The Philippines and the United Arab Emirates have reaffirmed their bilateral commitment to the welfare and rights of overseas Filipino workers, with senior officials from both countries emphasizing the depth of their labor partnership.
UAE Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation Abdulrahman Al Awar joined Philippine Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac and Philippine Ambassador to the UAE Alfonso Ferdinand A. Ver in highlighting the strength of the two nations’ ties on worker protection and fair labor conditions.
Manila expressed gratitude for Abu Dhabi’s ongoing support for OFWs, acknowledging the UAE as a key partner in upholding safe and humane employment conditions for Filipino workers in the country.
The two governments are also eyeing the upcoming Abu Dhabi Dialogue as an opportunity to deepen regional cooperation on labor migration issues and strengthen protections for migrant workers across the Gulf.
