Over 100 OFWs and families return to Philippines from Abu Dhabi

A group of 105 Filipinos, including overseas workers and their family members, arrived safely in the Philippines from Abu Dhabi as authorities continue to respond to instability in the Middle East.

The passengers—62 overseas Filipino workers and 43 dependents—landed at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 on the morning of May 3, 2026, via an Etihad Airways flight EY440.

Upon arrival, government personnel from the Department of Migrant Workers, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Department of Social Welfare and Development, and the Manila International Airport Authority medical team facilitated immediate assistance. The returnees received financial aid, temporary shelter, and transportation support to help them reach their home provinces.

The repatriation forms part of an expanded government effort directed by Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., aimed at ensuring the safe return of Filipino nationals while providing access to reintegration programs, including livelihood opportunities and employment support.
