No Filipino casualties reported in Dubai flooding, Department of Migrant Workers confirms

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) assured that no Filipino nationals were harmed amidst the severe flooding in Dubai. In a message to reporters, the DMW stated, “No dead or injured Filipinos and we are hoping this remains.”

Efforts are underway to assist overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) affected by the floods, with Migrant Workers Offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi preparing food items and essential supplies for those in need.

However, the worsening weather conditions have led to the suspension of operations at the Philippine Consulate General (PCG) in Dubai. In light of this, the PCG announced that affected clients will be accommodated on any other working day until April 30, 2024. The PCG Dubai emphasized, “Applicants must present their old appointment confirmation email upon entry to be accommodated.”
