New nonstop service between LA and Manila launches in March 2027

Delta will begin nonstop flights between Los Angeles and Manila on March 28, 2027, positioning itself as the sole American carrier flying the route directly and adding a second nonstop choice for the large Filipino community across Southern California.

Passengers can already reserve seats, with sales having started July 18. The carrier plans to fly the connection three days a week at the outset, then move to a daily schedule on June 7, 2027, using an Airbus A350-900.

Until now, Philippine Airlines has been the only airline offering the trip without a stop. Delta’s arrival introduces head-to-head competition on what ranks among the heaviest-traveled corridors linking the United States and the Philippines.

Another way home

The development carries added weight for Filipino Americans, many of whom see it as more than a scheduling convenience. A route historically flown nonstop by just one airline will now feature a rival option, opening up additional possibilities for those looking to reunite with relatives, make their way back to their birthplace, or take part in volunteer work throughout the Philippines.
