A man will face execution after the Ras Al Khaimah Criminal Court found him guilty of the premeditated murder of three members of the same family, Gulf Today reported.
The court delivered its ruling with the defendant present. He stood convicted on counts of premeditated murder, attempted murder, and issuing death threats.
The killings stemmed from a confrontation on the road. On May 7, 2025, a traffic dispute in Ras Al Khaimah escalated into an attack that claimed the lives of a 66-year-old woman and two of her daughters, aged 36 and 38. A fourth family member, a 47-year-old daughter, sustained injuries but survived the assault.
Relatives of those killed expressed approval of the outcome, saying the ruling amounted to justice for the three victims.
The defendant’s son was also convicted in connection with the case. The court imposed a prison term on him and a fine of AED 10,000 over charges tied to threats and defamation, and directed that items taken as evidence, among them a vehicle, be seized by the state.
Under UAE legal procedure, the death sentence does not take effect immediately. A verdict of this kind remains open to review and cannot be treated as conclusive until every avenue of appeal through the higher courts has been used.
