American acoustic-pop act Stephen Speaks has confirmed a Dubai and Philippines tour this November, along with a promise of new material—welcome news for the Filipino fans who turned the band into a household name more than two decades ago.
The announcement came via the band’s official Facebook page in a post accompanied by the acoustic version of “Out of My League,” one of the group’s signature hits. “Dubai and Philippines tour is confirmed for November, as well as some new music! I’m getting excited. See You!” the post read.
Stephen Speaks is the project of singer-songwriter Rockwell Ryan Ripperger, who founded the band in 1999. The group broke through in the Philippines in 2003, when the singles “Passenger Seat” and “Out of My League”—from the debut album “No More Doubt”—dominated local radio and simultaneously held the top two spots on the charts. The album was certified platinum in the country just ten days after its release, and Ripperger has since described the Philippines as his “home away from home,” returning repeatedly over the years, including a 2025 run of shows that took him to cities such as Davao.
The Dubai leg carries particular resonance for the emirate’s large Filipino community, for whom the band’s love songs remain a nostalgic staple. Specific venues, dates, and ticketing details for both legs of the November tour had not yet been released at the time of the announcement.
