President Ferdinand Marcos Jr has appointed Hans Leo Cacdac as the new Secretary of the Department of Migrant Workers, succeeding Susan Ople who passed away in August 2023.
Cacdac, who previously served as the Officer-in-Charge of the department, assumes the position after a year-long tenure in the interim role.
In a statement from the Palace, it was announced, “President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has appointed Department of Migrant Workers Undersecretary Hans Leo Cacdac to head the department, a year after he was designated as the officer-in-charge on April 8, 2023.”
