Flydubai expands European network with four new services

Dubai-based carrier Flydubai has announced the launch of four new services, marking a significant expansion in its European network. With this move, Flydubai now offers flights to 43 destinations across 21 countries in Europe.

The airline is set to become the first UAE national carrier to operate direct flights to EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, starting from August 2. Additionally, Flydubai is making its debut entry into the Baltic region with direct flights to Riga International Airport in Latvia, commencing on October 11. Flights to Tallinn Airport in Estonia and Vilnius International Airport in Lithuania will follow suit from October 12.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at Flydubai, expressed pride in the expansion, stating, “We are proud to see our network grow bigger than ever with the new route launches. We have created a diverse network of 126 destinations, 60% of which previously had very limited or no connections to Dubai.”

Al Ghaith emphasized the significance of these new services in facilitating convenient travel through Dubai’s aviation hub, particularly for passengers connecting to other destinations within Flydubai’s network or via their codeshare partner Emirates.

The flights will operate from Terminal 3, Dubai International (DXB), with Emirates codesharing on these routes, providing passengers with more options for seamless connections through Dubai’s international aviation hub.
