Filipino Club Bahrain hosts Inter-GCC All Filipino One Day Volleyball Tournament

The Filipino Club Bahrain once again played host to the Inter-GCC All Filipino One Day Volleyball Tournament, held on Friday, April 12, 2024, at the Muharraq Sports Club. This marks the eighth consecutive year of Bahrain’s hosting of the annual event, which drew Filipino players from neighboring GCC countries including the UAE, KSA, Bahrain, and Kuwait.

Known for its strategic tourism policy and the warm hospitality of its people, Bahrain provided an ideal setting for the sporting event. The tournament saw fierce competition among the teams, showcasing the passion and skill of Filipino volleyball players in the region.

In the women’s division, the Valkyries Team of Dubai secured victory, successfully defending their championship title from the previous year. The Aldrees Team of Riyadh claimed second place, with the Supreme Spikers from Kuwait finishing third.

Meanwhile, in the men’s category, teams from the UAE dominated the competition. The AP Champ of Abu Dhabi emerged as the champion, with FSM-FEVA and team VHRKHT from Dubai securing second and third place, respectively.

The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including the Philippine Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, HE Anne Jalando-on Louis, embassy officials, sponsors, donors, and officers of the Filipino Club Bahrain, led by its President Ric Advincula.
