Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport fully operational despite heavy rainfall yesterday

Despite the significant disruptions caused by the UAE’s heaviest rainfall in 75 years on Tuesday, Zayed International Airport (AUH) in Abu Dhabi is now fully operational.

The torrential rain led to widespread disruption of flights to and from the UAE, with airport services affected and numerous flights delayed, cancelled, or diverted.

However, with repair work underway and the weather conditions stabilizing on Wednesday, AUH has assured passengers of smooth operations. In an advisory shared on Wednesday, the airport emphasized that it continues to operate without any hindrance despite the unstable weather.

Travellers are urged to stay updated with their airlines for the latest flight information and to allow ample time for travel, considering possible road closures and traffic delays due to the aftermath of the heavy rainfall.
