Emirates announced on Thursday a significant expansion of its partnership with Philippine Airlines (PAL), providing passengers with increased connectivity between the UAE and the Philippines.
Previously, the interline agreement between the two airlines was limited to flights connecting through Manila airport. With the expanded partnership, Emirates passengers can now also fly to various Philippine provinces via Cebu and Clark airports.
For travelers flying from Dubai, single ticket bookings will allow them to reach destinations within PAL’s network, including Bacolod, Butuan, Cagayan De Oro, Davao, Iloilo, Caticlan, and Puerto Princesa via Cebu and Cebu, Caticlan, and Busuanga via Clark. This is in addition to the 19 other destinations accessible via Manila.
Furthermore, the collaboration enables PAL customers to book flights on Emirates to cities like Amman, Birmingham, Cape Town, Dammam, Dublin, Lisbon, Manchester, Muscat, and Riyadh via Dubai.
The Philippine national carrier maintains daily flights between Manila and Dubai, facilitating easy connections to Europe, Africa, and other Middle Eastern cities. A significant convenience for passengers is the ability to secure boarding passes and check baggage through to their final destination under this partnership.
Booking options for these expanded routes are available through both airlines’ websites, mobile apps, and various online and offline travel agents.
This enhanced partnership comes after the initial announcement of the interline agreement a few months ago, underscoring the commitment of both airlines to cater to the growing travel demand by offering more options and superior customer experience.
Having served the Philippine market since 1990, Emirates currently operates 25 weekly flights to Manila, Cebu, and Clark. Notably, it remains the only airline offering a First-Class product on flights to Manila, catering to the premium segment of travelers.
