The rumors ignited when netizens noticed photos of Pingris and Rodriguez taken at the same spot in Sydney, Australia. The observations were pointed out by a user named @auntieselinamo on Wednesday, March 27. The post included a screenshot of Facebook photos shared in August 2023, showing the two posing with fans in the same location.

Pebble Duque, a close friend of Sotto, intervened, dismissing the allegations. “Ay nako. He won’t do that. Maraming priorities si Marc,” Duque asserted on her Facebook page, adding, “They have a beautiful family.”

Duque clarified that Pingris’ Sydney photo was from last February, while Rodriguez’s was recently shared.
Responding to Duque’s defense, Sotto commented, “Kalma miga! We love you,” prompting Duque to humorously retort, “Buti ka pa, kalma!”
As of writing, neither Pingris nor Rodriguez has publicly addressed the rumors.
Sotto and Pingris have been married since 2007 and are parents to three children: Jean Michael, Caela, and Jean-Luc, born in January 2023.
