An Egyptian national accused of fatally stabbing two expatriates at a farm chalet in Kabd has been taken into custody by Kuwaiti authorities, who say he was seized while trying to slip across the country’s border.
According to the Interior Ministry, the case began when police received a report of an assault at a chalet in the Kabd area of Jahra Governorate. Responding security teams discovered two residents dead from stab wounds, with two more people wounded in the same attack. A blade thought to be the weapon used was later found close to the site.
Detectives opened an investigation to determine what had happened and who was behind the killings, which the ministry described as premeditated. Evidence collected during that inquiry pointed to a single suspect.
Working with the General Department of Border Security, investigators traced the man to the Ritqa area. He was apprehended as he allegedly tried to escape through the border fence and has since been handed over to the appropriate authorities for legal action.
