A Filipino teen singer based in Dubai has secured one of the coveted spots in the Top 6 of GMA Network’s The Clash Teens, advancing deeper into the youth edition of the network’s hit singing competition.
Martin Miguel confirmed his advancement in a social media post on Sunday, writing, “We Are Officially Part Of The Top 6 CLASHER.” He earned the spot after performing in the competition’s “Collabosesan” duet round on the August 9 episode, where the final set of teen Clashers paired with alumni of the original The Clash — Miguel performing alongside Garrett Bolden.
Known to the UAE Filipino community by his full name, Martinus Miguel Castro Obispo, the singer is the son of a Filipino expat couple from Laguna who settled in Dubai in 2007. He first drew wider attention in 2024 after bagging multiple awards at the World Championships of Performing Arts in Long Beach, California, and was later named a Special Icon Award recipient at The Global Filipino Icon Awards 2025 in Dubai.
The Clash Teens, the first teen edition of the franchise, features Filipino singers aged 14 to 19 competing for the title of first-ever Teen Grand Champion. Clash Masters Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz lead the show, with a judging panel of Christian Bautista, Jillian Ward, and BGYO’s JL Toreliza. The competition airs every Sunday at 7:15 p.m. on GMA.
