Chapters of the Confederation of Ilocano Association Inc. Samahang Ilokano – UAE (CIASI UAE 61892 Solid Juma) converged at Sport Bay in Karama, Dubai on March 22 for Sport Fest 2026, a day of athletics and fellowship that drew members from across the Emirates.
The event brought together delegations from the Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Dubai chapters, along with the Sorority UAE and the National Executive Council. An entrance parade at 8:00 a.m. formally opened the gathering before the program proceeded to remarks and competitive play.
National Chairman Rudy “Patsy” Bambico and National President Alex Reyes both delivered inspirational messages during the program, joined by representatives from the Filipino Social Club. Opening remarks were given by Pres. Carl Carag.
Beyond the competition, organizers said the activity was intended to deepen bonds across the organization’s UAE chapters and with allied groups. According to the program, the sportfest was designed to encourage sports development and goodwill games among its chapters and other organization clubs and fraternities.
The awarding ceremony capped the day’s games before the event closed with pictorials among participants.
CIASI UAE 61892 Solid Juma has been active in community engagement across the UAE, having earlier distributed iftar meals in Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah during Ramadan this year.
