A weekly run along the Dubai Canal now anchors the weekend calendar for members of The Uncommon Club, a fitness and wellness community that has built its following on accessibility over competition.
The initiative, launched in partnership with property developer OMNIYAT, puts runners on the Marasi Bay waterfront each Saturday morning, departing from The Lana Promenade — part of The Lana, Dorchester Collection, Dubai — at 7 AM, with a meetup 15 minutes earlier.
The 45-minute route follows an out-and-back path along the canal and is divided into pace groups led by experienced pacers, so participants with different fitness levels can run alongside the community without being left behind or held back. Once the run wraps, the group moves to Bonbon Café by Angelo Musa at The Lana Promenade for coffee.
Stephan Muller, Co-Founder of The Uncommon Club, described the setting as well-suited to the kind of running his community values. “Marasi Bay has a sense of openness and calm that makes it easy for people to move with intention, connect naturally, and leave feeling reset,” he said. “For us, the value has always been in showing up together.”
Marasi Bay sits within Dubai’s Burj Khaliani District along the Dubai Canal and represents OMNIYAT’s long-term effort to develop a luxury mixed-use waterfront precinct combining residences, office space, five-star hotels, fine dining, and leisure facilities. The area’s promenade and dedicated walking and cycling infrastructure connect Downtown Dubai with Dubai Design District, creating a pedestrian spine designed to encourage daily outdoor activity rather than function purely as a transit corridor.
Registration is required to join the run, which is open to all levels.
