‘Wala ho akong alam’: Maricel Soriano denies drug allegations in Senate testimony

Actress Maricel Soriano vehemently denied allegations of cocaine use after being implicated in a controversial list purportedly released by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA). Soriano testified before the Senate Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs, chaired by Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, where both she and President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. were named.

Wala ho akong alam,” Soriano stated during the hearing.

She expressed confusion about her invitation to the Senate, questioning the lack of verification of the claims made by former PDEA intelligence officer Jonathan Morales.

Additionally, Soriano addressed a past accusation of serious physical injury filed by two former household assistants in 2011, which was also linked to alleged drug use.

“Hindi po totoo ‘yan…. Opo [umalis sila] kasi ninakawan po nila ako,” Soriano explained, denying any wrongdoing.
