A Facebook post calling out a woman for allegedly holding a house blessing at a rented property has gone viral, drawing thousands of reactions and a lively comment section.
Posted on July 1, the caption opens with a pointed “HOY MADAM HANAH! ANG GANDA NG BAHAY MO AH!” before accusing the woman of holding a blessing at a house she does not own. According to the poster, the property is an Airbnb the woman had been passing off as her own home, and the actual owner was upset over the claim — “Nanggigigil tuloy ung owner,” the post reads, adding a jab that the owner holds the title and could double the rental fee.
The photos show a priest in vestments leading the rite outside a two-storey home as guests hold candles, with green-and-white draped tables set up for a celebratory meal. The uploader covered every guest’s face with smiling emojis, keeping the group anonymous.
The comments seized on the accusation. “Atleast n blessed ang house twice,” one wrote. Another turned detective: “Pano po sya nakapasok dyan sa property at nakapag set up ng catering tables kung di naman sa kanya? May susi syang dala? Or caretaker sya?” One mock-marveled at the effort — “Wow nakasetup catering pa hahahaha lakas ng tama hahaha” — while another weighed in on the ethics: “Maybe nag rent sha jan sa house okay lang naman mag pa house blessing, ang mali lang kung walang consent sa owner.”
A commenter who identified as a pastor offered a straight-faced take, saying blessing a rented home is acceptable “basta malinaw din at coordinated,” though an Airbnb might be a different matter.
The claims in the post remain unverified. As of posting, the woman named has not issued any public statement, and the property’s ownership and rental arrangement could not be independently confirmed.
