A 21-year-old suspected thief in Cebu City made an unexpected move by returning the washing machine he allegedly stole after realizing it was not functional and of no use to him.
According to a report by Decemay Padilla of DYSS Super Radyo GMA on GMA Regional TV, Police Major Jiceree Basitao of the Inayawan Police station disclosed that the suspect had been previously involved in similar crimes.
The owner of the washing machine was reportedly surprised to see the suspect carrying the missing appliance back to him, citing its malfunction as the reason for its return.
The incident took place around 1:00 am in Barangay Kinasang-an. The suspect admitted to taking the washing machine, acknowledging his involvement in the act.
