Rain expected across the UAE over the next three days

Motorists and residents across the eastern UAE should prepare for wet conditions starting Tuesday, when the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) expects convective clouds to build and release showers through the afternoon. The rainfall marks the start of an unsettled stretch running into Thursday.

Eastern regions are again in line for rain on Wednesday, with the NCM forecasting another round of cloud development capable of producing showers over the same areas.

The early part of the week, however, opens calmly. Fair skies are anticipated on Monday, broken only by cloud cover drifting over eastern districts. Overnight humidity is set to climb heading into Tuesday morning, with western coastal and inland zones most exposed to the moisture that can trigger fog and mist.

Tuesday itself brings a mix of fair and partly cloudy skies before the afternoon cloud build-up and showers arrive.

By Thursday, the pattern shifts toward cooler air, with the steepest temperature drops expected in the country’s west. Fresh north-westerly winds may kick up blowing dust across exposed terrain, and waters in the Arabian Gulf could turn moderate to rough at times, mainly in the west.

Winds are forecast to blow between 10 and 25 kph during the period, occasionally gusting as high as 40 kph.
