Authorities in Villasis, Pangasinan are hunting for a 47-year-old farmer accused of fatally stabbing his former partner—an overseas Filipino worker—and the man she was living with, in an attack that unfolded as the two victims slept inside their home.
Police identified the woman as a 40-year-old OFW and her live-in partner as a 42-year-old farmer, both killed at their residence in Barangay Pias, according to a report aired Monday by GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon.
Investigators determined that the suspect had once been in a relationship with the slain OFW before the killings took place. The attack caught both victims defenseless, as they were asleep when the stabbing occurred.
The assailant fled the scene and remains at large. Officers said they are still working to establish what drove the suspect to carry out the attack while continuing the manhunt.
Relatives of the two victims, meanwhile, have called for justice over the deaths.
