No prenup drama: Lawyer says Bea and Vincent signed the deal willingly

Actress Bea Alonzo and businessman Vincent Co are married, their legal counsel confirmed Tuesday, putting to rest months of speculation and reports of a dispute over their prenuptial agreement.

In a statement, Atty. Joey V. Garcia of GERA LAW said the couple exchanged vows in a civil ceremony at around 7 p.m. on Monday, July 13, at the Makati City Hall, with the wedding solemnized by Makati Mayor Nancy Binay. “Yes, I confirm that the civil wedding of Ms. Bea Alonzo and Mr. Vincent Co took place yesterday evening at around 7:00 PM at the Makati City Hall, and the ceremony was solemnized by Mayor Nancy Binay,” Garcia said.

The lawyer addressed earlier reports that an unresolved prenuptial issue had stalled the wedding. “The earlier reports suggesting that there was any dispute, hesitation, or unresolved issue concerning a prenuptial agreement are not accurate,” he said. Garcia added that both parties “freely, knowingly and voluntarily executed their prenuptial agreement,” which was signed before the marriage with no legal impediment arising from it. He declined to comment further, citing respect for the couple’s privacy.

Binay herself confirmed the union hours earlier through social media, posting a photograph of the newlyweds embracing inside her Makati City Hall office. “Kinasal ko na po sila. Congratulations & Best wishes Vincent & Bea,” the former senator wrote. She had earlier fueled speculation with a separate photo of herself and Alonzo captioned “Coffee w/ coffeemate” alongside the hashtag #OneMoreChance, a nod to one of the actress’s best-known films.

The marriage caps a long stretch of public speculation. According to a report by Abante, only six guests attended the intimate ceremony, with no relatives from either side present. The couple had reportedly been set to wed in Seville, Spain, in May, but that plan did not push through. Alonzo confirmed her relationship with Co, president of Puregold Price Club, in 2025, and a Manila parish published the couple’s wedding banns in March 2026.
