More than 5,500 people from a range of nationalities embraced Islam through the Mohammed Bin Rashid Centre for Islamic Culture during the opening six months of 2026, the institution reported.
The precise figure of 5,511 was announced by the Centre’s Director, Jasem Mohammed Al Khazraji, who attributed the outcome to the way the Centre has worked to create a cultural and intellectual setting open to people of differing backgrounds. He said this environment strengthens principles of mutual respect and shared human understanding across nationalities and cultures.
The Centre operates under the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD).
According to Al Khazraji, support for those who newly embrace the faith does not end at conversion. He described a combined framework of educational, cultural, and social offerings designed to accompany new Muslims over time. Among these are instruction in the Holy Quran, Arabic language lessons, and courses covering Sharia and general education.
The Director added that the programming extends to community gatherings and sustained follow-up initiatives. He said such efforts help new Muslims settle into society, reinforce both their intellectual and social grounding, and establish a network of support around them.
Al Khazraji tied this work to the broader values of tolerance and coexistence that Dubai seeks to advance, noting alignment with IACAD’s aim of improving quality of life and fostering a more informed and unified community.
