Seven overhead electricity lines in Kuwait have been taken offline after falling debris from air defence interceptions struck the network, the state news agency KUNA reported.
Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy spokesperson Eng. Fatima Jawhar Hayat confirmed that the damage triggered partial outages across a number of areas, without specifying which districts were affected.
Restoration work is being held until security authorities clear the affected sites. Eng. Hayat said field teams will conduct a full assessment before repairs begin, describing the process as necessary to ensure both worker safety and an efficient recovery of service.
Emergency crews have been placed on standby to respond to further disruptions and protect the stability of the national grid.
Residents have been advised to avoid the affected areas and to follow only official channels for updates as conditions on the ground continue to evolve.
