Hospital in UAE to offer free surgeries to low-income families

In commemoration of Zayed Humanitarian Day on Ramadan 19, Kuwait Hospital in Sharjah has conducted a series of free surgeries for low-income individuals. The surgical and orthopaedic departments, under the auspices of Emirates Health Services (EHS), performed these surgeries to honor the legacy of the UAE’s founding father.

Among the beneficiaries was a 70-year-old patient of Asian descent who underwent a colon tumor removal surgery. Additionally, a 25-year-old Asian patient, who suffered an open fracture in his left leg following an accident, received surgical intervention to stabilize the injury using a metal brace.

Afra Salem, the director of Kuwait Hospital, emphasized the institution’s commitment to Zayed’s humanitarian ideals, highlighting the importance of aiding those in need and embodying essential values in community development. Salem stressed that such initiatives not only reflect the essence of humanity but also contribute significantly to nation-building and elevate the UAE’s standing globally.

Furthermore, Kuwait Hospital’s management conducted a humanitarian visit to patients across all internal departments, ensuring their well-being and presenting them with gifts.
