Heavy rain leaves actress Rhian Ramos sleeping on Dubai airport floors for 2 days

Kapuso actress Rhian Ramos took to social media to share her ordeal after spending two days sleeping on the floors of Dubai International Airport due to heavy rainfall disrupting operations.

In a post shared online, Rhian revealed her situation, stating, “Finally coming home after 2 days sleeping on the floor of Dubai Airport. I have no words.”

Like many others, Rhian found herself stranded as the heavy rain disrupted airport operations, leading to flight cancellations and delays.

She shared a photo showing her makeshift bed made of blankets and towels, seeking assistance from anyone in Emirates Dubai to help her rebook her flight to Manila.

After three hours of waiting, Rhian announced that she was finally able to secure a flight home and take a much-needed shower.

The actress, who is set to star in the upcoming movie “Huwag Mo Akong Iwan,” also shared photos documenting her ordeal in Dubai.

In response to the weather disruption, the Dubai International Airport issued a statement, acknowledging the unprecedented rainfall and its impact on operations.

“Dubai Airports is endeavoring to do its best to support passengers at Dubai International (DXB) impacted by travel delays due to the recent unprecedented weather conditions the UAE experienced,” the statement read.

Despite facing challenges such as road blockages and resource constraints, the airport assured affected passengers that necessary assistance and amenities were being provided.

“We know how frustrating cancellations, disruptions, and delays are to travel plans, and our teams are working around the clock to help our guests,” the statement added.

Passengers who reached their final destination without their baggage were advised to contact airport representatives or their airline’s call center for assistance.
