An estimated 1.2 million Filipino students finishing senior high school this year will have the chance to extend their use of Canva’s professional tools beyond graduation, under a new program launched by the Department of Education and the design platform.
The Canva Graduate Access Program grants eligible Grade 12 completers a one-year Canva Pro subscription at no cost. Students with active Canva Education accounts will receive an activation link through an official DepEd Philippines email. A confirmation code sent after verification will unlock the subscription. The claiming window runs from April 1 to July 1, 2026.
Education Secretary Sonny Angara said the program is part of a broader effort to ready learners for life after the classroom. “Our goal is to ensure that Filipino learners are equipped not only with knowledge, but with the confidence and capabilities to pursue the opportunities ahead,” he said. “Partnerships like this help expand meaningful learning experiences that empower learners to shape their own paths after senior high school.”
Canva’s Regional Lead for Education in Asia-Pacific and Japan, Megan Townes, framed the initiative as a continuation of skills students have already been building. “At Canva, our goal is to ensure learners can continue building on these skills beyond the classroom by giving them the tools and confidence to keep creating, communicating, and pursuing opportunities in the path they choose,” she said.
The graduate program is part of a wider set of collaborations between Canva and DepEd. One of these, Project AGAP – Artificial Intelligence (AI), introduces students, teachers, and parents to responsible AI use in education, covering fundamentals and practical applications in research and content creation. Another, Project TAWID, links senior high school and Alternative Learning System learners with industry partners and provides access to AI-focused training, micro-credentials, and work immersion placements.
