A behind-the-scenes account from a former production intern has surfaced, describing tight restrictions imposed on staff during the run of the Wowowee hosted by Willie Revillame.
The account was shared during an appearance on the podcast Walang Edit-Edit, where the former intern spoke about on-set protocols that limited interaction with the host. According to him, even brief visual contact was discouraged while working inside the studio.
“Bawal mo siya tingnan. Production intern ako within the studio at that time.
He added that lapses in following these rules could have serious consequences for supervisors, claiming they risked losing their jobs if protocols were not strictly observed.
Apart from restrictions, the intern also described his assigned duties during the show, including handling giveaways distributed on-air.
Hindi siya maganda and makapal siya in the worst ways,”
Following the interview, several online users began sharing their own recollections of working on or visiting the program’s set, echoing similar claims about strict rules and tense moments during production breaks.
“yung college kami, pinadala buong section namin sa studio para maging audience ng show niya. grabe kapag commercial, shookt kami kasi pinagmumura niya mga staff kapag may nagkamali ????”
“Huy true to life to. HAHAHAHAHA.”
“Totoo to!
Discussions about Revillame’s on-set behavior have circulated for years, including a previously viral clip that showed him reprimanding staff during a live broadcast.
