First Lady Liza Marcos lauded the Philippine National Police (PNP) for their rapid emergency response during her visit to Camp Crame on Thursday, where she personally observed the implementation of the police’s five-minute response policy.
According to her Instagram post, Marcos tested the system by asking authorities to locate Ilocos Norte Governor Cecilia Araneta-Marcos. Within just two minutes of placing a call to the 911 hotline, the police successfully tracked down the governor’s whereabouts.
“Super proud of our dedicated men and women in uniform. You make us feel safe, seen and supported,” the First Lady wrote. “No need to run to the precinct anymore – the police are right in your phones, ready to respond anytime!”
She was joined during the visit by PNP chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office General Manager Melquiades Robles, and Special Envoy on Transnational Crime Ambassador Markus Lacanilao.
