Professional MMA fighter from Antipolo City Genil Francisco is set to return to the UAE for the upcoming UAE Warriors 45 event.
He will face Palestinian fighter Rany Saadeh on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at the Al Jazira Club in Abu Dhabi. The bout will be under the Bantamweight category.
Announcing the match on Facebook, Francisco expressed his determination and pride in representing the Philippines.
He wrote, “On the 17th, I will return to the UAE to show the world what Filipinos are made of. We Filipinos have grit, resilience, and the determination to make the most out of what we have. My opponent is a high-level champion in Europe with a diverse skill set and international experience. But as I’ve said, we will showcase the quality of a Filipino! Thank you to everyone who has supported and will continue to support. Let’s go!”
Currently holding a record of 12 wins and 7 losses, Francisco made a triumphant debut at UAE Warriors earlier this year by securing a win against Shamil Nurmagomedov.
The upcoming fight with Saadeh provides Francisco with an opportunity to further showcase Filipino talent on the international stage.
