All Dubai government entities have been given one year to consolidate their services for individuals and businesses into a unified digital platform, following a directive issued by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum during a visit to Digital Dubai.
The Crown Prince of Dubai, who also serves as Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council, said the push goes beyond technological upgrades. “Our goal is to make life easier, simplify procedures, and reduce the number of platforms, delivering more efficient and seamless services that strengthen Dubai’s competitiveness as a global hub for business and investment,” he said.
Digital Dubai has been tasked with coordinating implementation across all entities to ensure full integration. Sheikh Hamdan described the emirate as now operating as a data- and AI-managed city, where interconnected systems work in real time to improve daily life.
Among the projects reviewed were second-generation Government Resource Planning Systems — a joint initiative involving Digital Dubai, the Department of Finance, and the Dubai Government Human Resources Department — covering finance, human resources, procurement, and asset management under one operational framework.
Also presented were Agentic AI platforms enabling residents to complete government transactions through conversational AI interfaces, as well as a city-wide smart sensing network capable of detecting incidents such as fires and relaying alerts directly to Civil Defense.
Data-driven economic targets were also outlined. Projects developed by the Dubai Data and Statistics Establishment are projected to contribute more than AED 10 billion to GDP within two years, while positioning Dubai among the world’s top 10 cities on the Government AI Readiness Index.
Younus Al Nasser, Chief Executive of the Dubai Data and Statistics Establishment, said data has shifted from an analytical tool into infrastructure for decision-making. “Dubai is a global leader in transforming data into a strategic asset that enables a more competitive and sustainable digital economy and advances the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33,” he said.
Sheikh Hamdan framed the pace of change as non-negotiable. “Dubai’s journey of development never stops, regardless of the challenges or changing circumstances. Continuous improvement is our approach, excellence is our benchmark, and the future is our destination,” he said.
