Overseas Filipino workers and their families who want to learn new skills can be referred to the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), a regional migrant workers official said on Saturday, September 26, 2026, as his office handed out emergency cash assistance to dozens of OFWs.
Regional Director Atty. Ace Falconi V. Millar of the Department of Migrant Workers–National Capital Region (DMW–NCR) said the agency is prepared to coordinate with other government offices on behalf of OFWs and their households looking to pursue skills training.
“At hindi dito nagtatapos ang ating pakikipag-ugnayan, kung ano pa man ang maipaglilingkod ng ating pamahalaan handa po naming kayong tulungan. Yun pong TESDA natin, a-accommodated po natin ang ating mga OFW at kanilang pamilya,” Millar said.
Millar led the release of P3 million from the AKSYON Fund, which went to 48 OFWs gathered at the DMW Central Office.

The assistance is reserved for qualified OFWs who are in distress or dealing with a crisis, with those requiring medical help among the intended beneficiaries.
