Fans in the capital will get a chance to watch beloved Disney movies while a full orchestra performs their music in real time. Proactiv Entertainment, working alongside Disney Concerts, the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and Miral, has announced ‘Disney+ Live in Concert’ for a three-day run at Etihad Arena on Yas Island.
Each of the four scheduled performances places a complete film on a large screen while the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra plays the accompanying songs and scores in time with the picture. Organizers describe the lineup as a program shaped specifically for the UAE market, drawing on titles available through the Disney+ streaming service.
The schedule opens Friday, December 18, 2026, with Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Encanto, whose soundtrack from Lin-Manuel Miranda includes the widely streamed “We Don’t Talk About Bruno.” Saturday, December 19, carries a double bill: Frozen, built around the Academy Award-winning “Let It Go,” is paired that same evening with the holiday caper Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.
Closing the series on Sunday, December 20, is the 1994 animated feature The Lion King. Its score comes from Elton John, Tim Rice and Hans Zimmer, with choral and vocal arrangements from South African producer Lebo M, and includes “Circle of Life” and “Hakuna Matata.”
