A high-value drug suspect was arrested in Davao City on Thursday evening after a coordinated buy-bust operation yielded over ₱15 million worth of suspected shabu and an illegally possessed firearm.
The Davao City Police Office (DCPO), working alongside personnel from the Baliok Police Station, conducted the operation at approximately 8 p.m. in Barangay Bago Gallera. The suspect, known only by the alias “Bai,” had been classified as a High-Value Individual in the illegal drug trade.
Authorities confirmed a successful test purchase during the operation, after which they recovered large packs of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride with an estimated street value of ₱15,640,000.
A .357 caliber revolver loaded with two live rounds was also found in the suspect’s possession at the time of the arrest.
“Bai” now faces charges under Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and Republic Act 10591, the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
