Airline issues apology after passenger finds worm in in-flight sandwich

A passenger has reportedly found a worm in her sandwich in a recent incident on an IndiGo Airlines flight from Delhi to Mumbai. The airline has issued an apology following the grievance raised by the passenger, Khushboo Gupta, a dietician and public health professional.

Gupta shared her experience on Instagram, expressing her concern over the health and safety of other passengers, especially children and the elderly. She highlighted that even after informing the flight attendant about the poor quality of the sandwich, it continued to be served to others. Gupta stated that she intended to file an official complaint and emphasized the need for prioritizing passenger health and safety over other considerations.

IndiGo Airlines responded to the incident with an official statement, acknowledging the complaint and assuring an ongoing investigation. The airline emphasized its commitment to maintaining high standards of food and beverage service. As a precaution, the crew immediately stopped serving the specific sandwich in question. IndiGo extended its sincere apologies to Gupta and all passengers affected, ensuring that corrective measures are being taken in collaboration with their caterer to prevent such incidents in the future.
