Abu Dhabi has secured the eighth spot in a worldwide ranking of the cities that treat their visitors best, drawing favourable comments in 55.3% of the traveller reviews assessed for the emirate. The placement put the UAE capital ahead of British destinations including Birmingham and Bristol.
The ranking emerged from research carried out by Mooney Supermarket, a firm that specialises in business insurance. Its analysts examined more than 100,000 traveller reviews spread across 107 cities around the globe, covering dining spots, coffee shops, sightseeing destinations, and leisure offerings, with the aim of gauging how satisfied visitors were and how well they were served.
To build each city’s profile, researchers looked at 30 to 50 venues per location and worked through roughly a thousand reviews for every destination, tracking both service standards and how visitors engaged with what they found.
Edinburgh claimed the highest position at 59%, with Hanoi close behind on 58.6% and Liverpool third at 58.3%. Paris followed in fourth on 57.5%, and Dublin took fifth with 57.3%. Montreal placed sixth at 56.8%, Vienna seventh at 55.6%, and then came Abu Dhabi’s eighth-place showing.
For Abu Dhabi, the result points to its rising profile as a destination that pairs strong service with well-developed infrastructure while lifting the overall experience for those who visit.
