Abu Dhabi festival with Shakira and Nick Jonas pushed back to 2027

Organizers of OFFLIMITS have called off the multi-genre event that was scheduled for later this year, telling fans through a social media announcement that they are aiming to stage it in 2027 instead.

Anyone who purchased tickets will be contacted about refunds through the platform where the original booking was made.

The lineup had been anchored by Shakira, described as the Queen of Latin Music, who was expected to headline with material spanning her career and had been slated to bring her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour to the emirate in what would have marked her comeback to a UAE stage. The bill also featured a wide spread of acts across musical styles: the Jonas Brothers, drawing on twenty years of hits; Grammy winner Ne-Yo representing R&B; rock from Scotland’s Biffy Clyro and Iceland’s KALEO; and indie names including Myles Smith, Scouting for Girls, and Toploader.

The event had already shifted more than once. Etihad Park was the initial venue for a run planned in April, after which the location changed to Yas Island and the date was reset to November 21, 2026.

Promoted as the country’s first open-format festival and its biggest event built around blending genres, OFFLIMITS has been distinguished by a multi-stage design that combines live performances with visual art, immersive settings, and cultural programming.

No explanation has been offered for why the event was pushed back, and additional information has yet to be released.
