Plane crash in Malaysia leaves 2 dead

A small aircraft crashed into a road in Selangor, Malaysia, leading to the death of two individuals on Thursday afternoon. The distressing aftermath of the accident was captured on video, which has since gone viral on Twitter, garnering over 800,000 views.

Eyewitnesses narrated to local news outlets how the plane “fell to the ground and exploded upon impact”. The fallout from the explosion was so extensive that debris from the aircraft struck a motorcyclist, who unfortunately did not survive.

The video footage from the scene depicts a section of the road blackened, with smoke still rising from the ground.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke confirmed the crash, stating that the civil aviation authority is aware of the incident. He further mentioned that the plane had six passengers and two crew members aboard. The status of the other occupants remains unclear at this time.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the crash.
