Financial assistance totaling P15,570,000 reached 267 qualified recipients across Pampanga on September 14, 2026, distributed through the AKSYON Fund of the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW). The handout took place at the Kingsborough International Convention Center in San Fernando and formed one component of “Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat para sa Lahat,” a program tied to the birthday of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. that aimed to bring government services closer to overseas Filipino workers, their families, and jobseekers.
Health services featured prominently alongside the cash grants. Attendees could undergo free blood pressure screening, while the OFW Hospital showcased medical offerings intended for migrant workers and their relatives. Assistant Secretary Julyn S. Ambito-Fermin, who represented the DMW at the event, urged workers not to overlook their own wellbeing: “Habang inaalagaan ng ating OFWs ang kanilang mga pamilya, mahalaga ring alagaan nila ang kanilang sariling kalusugan.”
Employment opportunities rounded out the day’s offerings. A Local and Overseas Job Fair, mounted together with the Department of Labor and Employment, opened at the Robinsons Mall in Angeles City. Organizers positioned the fair as a channel toward safe, legal, and decent work, covering openings both within the Philippines and abroad.
