Fresh off a medal run at the world’s largest performing arts competition, a Dubai-based children’s and youth choir is inviting new members to try out for its ranks.
The ECS Singers, who carried the UAE flag at the 2026 World Championships of Performing Arts in Las Vegas, secured three gold medals during the July competition — in contemporary group vocal, Broadway group vocal, and original works. The group reached the Grand Finale in the contemporary group vocal category, one of the event’s top competitive tiers.
WCOPA, held annually and often likened to an Olympics for performers, draws talent from more than 70 countries across singing, dancing, acting, modeling, and other disciplines. This year’s edition took place at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino in Nevada.

The Las Vegas showing adds to a growing list of honors for the ensemble. At the 2026 Middle East ChoirFest, the group was named Grand Champion of the Young Talent Music Competition and took the award for Best Non-English Song with “Magpasalamat.” A separate prize at that festival went to an original composition by Elipas Sibua, who conducts the choir and serves as its WCOPA National Director.
The choir is now accepting applicants aged six to 18. Rehearsals are scheduled every Friday from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the ECS Performing Arts Centre, which is handling audition inquiries through the number 050 959 8171.
Organizers describe the program as one built to develop vocal ability, stage presence, and confidence, with performance opportunities offered both in the UAE and abroad.
