Lost something in Dubai? Police will now bring it to your door

Residents who lose personal belongings in Dubai and later have them recovered by police can now skip the trip to a service center, with a newly introduced option to receive those items at any address across the country.

The Call Centre serves as the entry point for the service. Anyone hoping to arrange a delivery is asked to dial 901, where staff coordinate the return of recovered property.

Delivery is available to both homes and workplaces, and coverage extends throughout all seven emirates rather than being limited to Dubai. Police detailed the offering through their verified account on X, framing it as a way to spare owners the inconvenience of collecting items in person once those items are located.

Officials tie the rollout to a longstanding push toward smart, customer-focused operations, one that emphasizes simpler procedures and quicker access to what the force provides. Behind the individual service sits a broader institutional aim: raising the standard of public dealings and cutting friction wherever residents interact with police.

That direction reflects Dubai’s larger governmental agenda, which leans heavily on efficiency gains and public satisfaction as measures of success. Positioning the emirate among the foremost smart cities globally has driven a steady buildup of digital and proactive offerings from the police over the past several years.
