OWWA updates WhatsApp contact numbers for OFWs due to SIM expiration

The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) has announced changes to several of its official WhatsApp contact numbers, urging overseas Filipino workers and their families to update their records to avoid disruptions in communication.

In a public advisory posted on its official Facebook page, the agency said the update was prompted by the expiration of certain SIM cards used for its messaging channels. Two numbers, +63 956 319 7589 and +63 956 319 7586, have been discontinued and should no longer be used.

OWWA identified two new WhatsApp numbers now in service: +63 927 824 5974 and +63 927 824 5973. The agency also listed +63 968 694 0706 among its active contacts.

The administration advised OFWs, their families, and other clients to save the updated numbers indicated on its advisory card to ensure proper coordination with the concerned offices. It said the move is part of continuing efforts to strengthen its digital communication channels and make its services more accessible and responsive to the needs of Filipino workers worldwide.

For direct assistance, OWWA maintains its hotline at 1348. Additional information is available through its official social media accounts and website at owwa.gov.ph.
