Dubai Police hit 99.9% in daytime safety as residents report feeling secure

Residents in Dubai overwhelmingly reported feeling safe during daylight hours in 2025, with the emirate’s police force registering a 99.9% rating on the daytime safety perception index. The figure emerged from the Security Quality of Life Survey, carried out by the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre alongside the Ministry of Interior.

That metric is one of three that feed into the broader Security Quality of Life Index, where Dubai Police posted a combined score of 98.2%. The remaining two measures tracked how secure people felt walking after dark, which came in at 98.7%, and public trust in police stations, recorded at 96.2%.

Brigadier Saeed Abdullah bin Tuwair Al Suwaidi, Assistant Undersecretary for Security Affairs at the Ministry of Interior, credited the force’s operational and administrative divisions for the outcomes, saying the numbers reflect coordinated work across the organisation to reinforce both security and public confidence.

Beyond public perception, the force logged gains across seven strategic priorities drawn from research by the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre and the Dubai Police Opinion Poll Centre. Those priorities span institutional excellence, smart security and response systems, digital services, future readiness and innovation, talent recruitment, contact centre operations, and security quality of life.

On the technology front, digital adoption for transactions reached 97.7%, with more than 218 million digital transactions processed over the year. Satisfaction with the force’s digital channels stood at 96.9%. The Future Readiness and Innovation Index, meanwhile, returned a score of 93.3%, which the force tied to its push toward institutional innovation and a knowledge-based economy.

Call handling remained a core measure of performance, with the force fielding 6.9 million emergency and non-emergency calls throughout 2025.

Recognition also came from outside the UAE. Brand Finance placed Dubai Police at the top of its global ranking for police brand value in 2025, awarding the maximum AAA+ brand strength rating and a score of 9.2 out of 10. That evaluation drew on input from over 8,000 stakeholders across ten countries, weighing factors such as ethics, operational effectiveness, transparency and innovation. The same report calculated the force’s contribution to the UAE’s national brand value at AED57.9 billion ($15.8 billion).

Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, tied the results to backing from the UAE leadership, the Dubai Government and the Ministry of Interior, and singled out the professionalism of the force’s personnel as a driver of its continued progress.

Over the same period, the force collected 51 awards, 12 of them international honours.
