Thousands of workers in Dubai’s labour communities will have dedicated entertainment programmes to look forward to this Eid Al Adha, as the emirate prepares a wide-ranging slate of public celebrations, safety inspections, and operational measures across the holiday period.
Dubai Municipality confirmed that three community labour markets — in Muhaisnah 2, Al Quoz 4, and Al Quoz Industrial Area 3 — collectively serve between 24,000 and 30,000 workers on public holidays, with special programmes expected to draw around 20,000 attendees. More than 80 specialised employees, including inspectors and technical personnel, will run monitoring campaigns across over 300 establishments in those areas.
On the public leisure front, several of Dubai’s most popular beaches will be designated as family-only zones throughout the holiday. Jumeirah 1, Jumeirah 2, Jumeirah 3, Umm Suqeim 1, Umm Suqeim 2, and Khor Al Mamzar Beach — along with the night beach facilities at Jumeirah 2 and Umm Suqeim 1 — will be restricted to families, offering both daytime and evening access along the waterfront.
Parks across the emirate will participate in the “Eid Gifts” initiative on the first and second days of Eid, distributing complimentary ice cream to visitors from 4pm to 7pm. The programme covers Al Barsha Pond Park, Mushrif Park, Zabeel Park, Creek Park, Al Safa Park, and several community parks.
Live entertainment will be spread across multiple venues. Dubai Frame will stage musical performances on the first two days of Eid from 4pm to 7pm, while Hatta Market will host the Al Harbiya band on the second day from 4pm to 10pm, with performances centred on local heritage traditions. Children’s City will run a full programme across the first three days from 9am to 8pm, incorporating theatrical shows, workshops, character appearances, and interactive activities.
Major parks including Zabeel Park, Al Mamzar Park, Al Safa Park, Creek Park, and Mushrif National Park will operate from 8am until midnight during the holiday. Dubai Frame will be open from 8am to 9pm.
Behind the celebrations, Dubai Municipality has deployed extensive food safety and health inspection operations. Specialised teams are active around the clock at land, sea, and air entry points. In the first quarter of 2026, the Municipality inspected approximately 81,000 food shipments comprising more than 424,000 items and roughly 2.7 million tonnes of imported food.
With Eid Al Adha traditionally driving a spike in meat consumption, oversight on meat imports has been tightened further. Close to 8,000 meat and meat product consignments — covering more than 30,000 products and approximately 66,000 tonnes — were inspected in the first quarter of 2026 alone. Verification of halal slaughter certificates and cold chain compliance are among the mandatory checks.
Inspection campaigns have also been extended to butcher shops, roasteries, chocolate retailers, and central markets, including the Fruit and Vegetable Market and Waterfront Market. Residents can flag food safety concerns via the Dubai 24/7 app or by calling 800900.
Health inspections have been intensified at hotels, barber shops, beauty salons, and shisha cafés, with additional checks on water quality, indoor air quality, and pool safety. A dedicated campaign is examining henna products sold in women’s salons, with laboratory testing to verify they are free from harmful substances and allergens.
Consumer product surveillance has also been stepped up, covering children’s toys, cosmetics, perfumes, and electrical goods at retail level, alongside tobacco compliance monitoring.
The Municipality separately confirmed that the Livestock Market and its associated facilities are fully operational and ready to receive visitors, with organisational and inspection services in place to manage livestock safety and customer comfort.
