Passengers with upcoming travel plans are being directed to contact their airlines directly for the latest information on flight schedules, as carriers coordinate with local authorities to arrange accommodation and assistance for those affected.
The General Civil Aviation Authority confirmed the temporary measure was preceded by a thorough evaluation of security and operational risks, carried out alongside national and international counterparts. The protection of UAE sovereignty and the safety of its airspace were cited as non-negotiable considerations in that process.
Airlines bear responsibility for supporting affected travelers, the GCAA indicated, with relevant local authorities involved in facilitating that assistance on the ground.
The authority said it will provide ongoing updates to both officials and the public as the situation develops, and called on everyone to source information exclusively through official channels.
