Filipino fighter Mark Angel Sadang makes explosive BKFC debut with knockout win in Dubai

Filipino fighter Mark Angel “Deadshot” Sadang made waves in his Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) debut in Dubai, delivering a swift and brutal knockout victory that left the crowd at the Dubai Tennis Stadium roaring.

The 27-year-old from Dasmariñas, Cavite stepped into the BKFC 72 ring on April 5, 2025, facing Iran’s Matin “Matdog” Safari in the lightweight division. It didn’t take long for Sadang to showcase his power—he floored Safari twice before finishing the fight just 1 minute and 27 seconds into the first round.

The win marked a major turning point in Sadang’s fighting career, one built not just on training, but on personal grit and a hunger to rise above hardship.

“This isn’t just about winning,” Sadang said in a post-fight interview. “I’m doing this for my family, especially my twins. I want to give them a better life.”

His coach, Dy Rolando Gabriel, took to Facebook to express pride in his student’s journey. “He came from a poor family. He told me he wants to fight because he doesn’t want to be poor forever,” Gabriel shared. “Now he just won the biggest fight of his life. That performance will open more doors for you.”

Representing DYincredible Fighting and Fitness Center, Sadang now boasts five knockout wins out of six total fights—proof that his dream of fighting greatness may be just getting started.
